The final portion will address remediation and intervention treatments related to the unfortunate wetting incident and preservation initiative to ensure their stability for future generations. The main focus of the presentation will be about the evolution of tapestry conservation within the field: how works were repaired and cared for in the past and the impact of some of those treatments on the current state of Hollins tapestries. Hammond will also share her own history as well as the Inbtermuseum Conservation Association's mission as the nation’s oldest non-profit conservation lab.
